Annals of Operations Research

Special Volume: ORP3-OR for Young Researchers

and Practitioners


The Annals of Operations Research seeks submissions for a special volume ORP3-OR for Young Researchers and Practitioners. This volume of the Annals of Operations Research is devoted to stimulate research activity of young researchers in all areas of Operations Research. Therefore, this volume will gather not only selected papers presented at ORP3 conference together but also others including at least one young author (papers can be coauthored with senior researchers).


ORP³ is the EURO peripatetic conference designed for young OR researchers and practitioners, to promote scientific and social exchanges. For more details see http://orp3.uca.es/


Papers submitted for this special volume should make a significant contribution to any area of Operations Research, although the main topics of interest are:


  • Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization
  • Discrete Optimization; Graphs & Networks
  • Location Theory
  • Transportation and Logistics
  • Game Theory
  • Network Optimization
  • Multicriteria Optimization
  • Production Management; Supply Chain Management
  • Routing Problems


All papers will follow the high standard refereeing process of the Annals of Operations Research. The Annals of Operations Research publishes peer-reviewed original articles dealing with key aspects of operations research, including theory, practice, and computation.

Authors should submit a cover letter and a manuscript by December 31, 2011, via the Journal's online submission site. Manuscripts submitted after the deadline may not be considered for the special volume and may be transferred to a regular volume.

Be sure to note in the Manuscript Comment text that your work is intended for the special volume and to select the article type SI: ORP3-2011. Papers will be subject to a strict review process managed by the Guest Editors and accepted papers will be published online individually, before print publication.
