Background and History

ORP³ or “the OR Peripatetic Post-Graduate Programme” is a new instrument of EURO - The Association of European Operational Research Societies – designed for young OR researchers and practitioners. The objective is promoting scientific and social exchanges between the members of the future generation of Operational Researchers.

ORP³ is organised biannually and the 2011 edition in Cádiz is the fifth.

Previous conferences have been held in Paris (2001), Lambrecht (2003), Valencia (2005) and Guimarães (2007).

Main Characteristics

The conference is open to the whole scope of Operations Research, but the following topics are mostly welcome:

  • Network Optimization
  • Multicriteria Optimization
  • Production Management; Supply Chain Management
  • Routing Problems

The conference is composed only of plenary sessions and each participant will act as the chair and discussant of another session. In addition four tutorial and three seminars sessions are planned.

The room will be equipped with a computer with video projection.
